Miss London 2014 sponsored by ICM Capital was another sell-out event full of glitz and glamour!
Twenty-five beautiful ladies battled it out on stage at the prestigious Hippodrome Casino on Saturday 26th April.
Mr Jimmy Thomas, Owner of The Hippodrome Casino brought on board Miss London organiser, Fay Hill to organise Miss Hippodrome 2014. Fay co-hosted both London titles in one evening, offering two places in the Miss England final to the winners of the heats and four semi-final places to the runners up of both heats, and winners of the popularity rounds.
As always, the competition this year was divided in to three parts- Audition (quarter-final), Bootcamp (semi-final) and Final.
Out of the hundreds of girls that auditioned, thirty were offered a place at Bootcamp.

The winners of our popularity rounds Miss London Popularity 2014 Amy Wray and Miss Hippodrome Popularity 2014 Lizzie Spyrou are delighted to be competing in the Miss England Semi-Finals in May. It takes a lot of hard work encouraging the public to vote for you but these girls did a fantastic job!
The judging panel were already blown away at Bootcamp by the natural beauty of Tammy Dexter. Described as having the ‘whole package’, 5’9 Tammy considers herself rather tomboyish! The beauty is from Leicester but is an established commercial model in London. She feels the quirkiness and vibrancy of the city is what reflects her best and is understandably overwhelmed to be given the opportunity to represent such a fine place this coming June at the Miss England Final.
Tammy battled it out on stage competing in three rounds- Sportswear, Evening Wear and an Interview Round. A sports lover- Tammy loves to keep active through Tabata and running. She had no problems parading in teeny hot pants and heels saying, ‘I keep fit to feel and look confident so it’s nice to be able to show off a body I’m proud of!’ For evening wear the beauty had several options but decided to keep it plain, simple and sophisticated in a black evening dress- you can’t beat an LBD, after all!
When presenter for the evening, infamous Cosmedic Coach and Executive Sky Fitness and Beauty Producer, Antonia Mariconda announced Tammy Dexter the winner of Miss London 2014, the beauty cried tears of joy. Current Miss England Kirsty Hesselwood explained to the audience what a privilege wearing the most coveted crown is before crowning the new Miss London. Tammy said, “I’m so excited and going to give this my all.” She thanked her very proud Mum and Fay Hill for all their support in getting her this far!
Runners-Up of the Miss London event were stunning Elle Paige sponsored by jones & jones. Scouted and signed to leading model agency, Premier Models at the tender age of 14, Elle is no stranger to the catwalk! Her impeccable academic record , eloquence, sophistication and quirky doll-face features put her in fantastic stead to win a place in the final of Miss England when she competes at the semi-finals next month! In third place, was MAC Make-Up Artist and student, Yuliya Joyce sponsored by Hyalual. The Russian beauty boasted true Eastern European features with her high cheek bones and perfect pout. She dazzled the catwalk in a floor-length red gown and certainly wowed the judges who unanimously voted her to place in the top three!
Shelby Tribble, the blonde bombshell from Plymouth who took the plunge and moved to London a year ago says, ‘winning the Miss Hippodrome 2014 title is a dream come true.’ The previously shy beauty is really finding her wings and beginning to acknowledge what everyone else sees- a beautiful person inside and out. Shelby sponsored by Greatreturn.com has already been selected as a new face for leading men’s lifestyle magazine, ‘Loaded’ after she won their model search competition. Now she will go on to represent the UK’s finest casino at the Miss England final.
Runners-Up of the Miss Hippodrome competition included 5’10 stunner, Faye Perry sponsored by Vanity from Liverpool and 5’10 commercial model, Isabelle Allan sponsored by Princess Inaara Foundation. All the judges agreed it was an exceptionally difficult decision to make but Shelby’s overall charm and modesty teamed with her stunning looks was a deal breaker!
Huge thanks goes to our head sponsors for the event, ICM Capital. Without their belief and financial support the event could never have reached such high success. Similarly we give thanks to our prize sponsors for providing such beautiful presents to our winners! Finally, a huge thank you to our finalists. Without you there would be no contest and each and every one of you did yourselves and families so very proud. Fay Hill x
